Description
 Through the regional park of the Alpilles, in the Bouches du Rhône department, promised land of the olive tree, you will set out to discover the world of olive growing.
 

Locals will welcome you so as to share with them the love of their profession.

Program / Schedule of the day
 Over the course of a day, you will be immersed in the life of a mill operator and an olive farmer.
 

-          10h: A colorful walk through an olive grove, with a local farmer

-          12h: Authentic lunch with local products cooked with Olive oil, of the AOC designation, from the Baux Valley.

-          15h: Visit of a traditional olive press and a tasting of different varieties of olive oil.

 You will benefit of a pleasant morning in the fresh air, discovering  some splendid scenery of the Alpilles, with its olive groves combined with the wonderful gold and silver limestone of this rocky mountain chain.
 
Locals will demonstrate both their traditional and modern methods of producing olive oil.
 
You will be introduced to the flavors, perfume and tastes which compose the olive oil, through a convivial tasting with commentary.

 At the end of the year, November and December, the mills are operating. You have the possibility of observing the olive oil being bottled, participate in numerous celebrations and may pick you own olives if you want to.
