MONUMENTS AND HERITAGE IN THE ARLES COUNTRYSIDE

Would you like to discover the city of Arles ? Here is a day not to be missed

You may not know it, but Arles is the largest city of all the « communes » of Metropolitan France. With its area of approximately 759 km2, it is seven times larger than Paris.

Arles, also known as "LA PETITE ROME" has been able to combine its traditions and the modern era.

It is the premiere city of Camargue, with an exceptional roman heritage.

We invite you to discover its ambiance with the large terraces of the Provencal cafés and the mansions on the Avenue des Lices.

We also suggest that you wander randomly in the small streets in the center of town to discover the Roman and romanesque monuments of Arles.

Remarkable monuments, built by Cesar during Antiquity, are found there, notably the Amphitheater of Arles, the Public Baths of Constantine and the St. Trophine cloister.

These monuments, classified as world heritage of Humanity since 1981 will no longer be a mystery to  you.
