You will ride on Provencal roads, in the Vaucluse from the Luberon to the Pays de Sault, admiring this authentic plant, this flower with such an intense and unique perfume.
Among exceptional landscapes, distillation and aromatherapy, "the blue gold of the area", lavender, will no longer hold any mystery for you.
You will start the day by visiting a traditional provencal market (different according to the day of the week).
The colorful vendors’ stands will offer the wealth of the land and of Provençal artisans (seasonal fruits and vegetables, grown locally, potteries,…)
Then, because of the difference of altitude, you will visit a village depending on the evolution of the flowering during the season.
The village of Roussillon :
Considered one of the most beautiful villages of France.
This will offer you breath- taking landscapes.
Between ochre and lavender, the colors will delight your eyes.
The village of Sault :
Built on a rocky spur overlooking the Val de Sault and formerly fortified, the village is famous worldwide for its lavender.
The « commune » is classified « Station Verte »
Free time will be offered for lunch or to discover by yourself some of these exceptional sites.
You will then go in the direction of GORDES
Perched village of the Luberon, classified as one of the most beautiful villages of France, entirely built with the local stone called "lauze".
A panoramic vista will be offered to you.
Exclusively between June 15 and July 15, a photo stop will be made at the Abbey of Sénanque to photograph the lavender field in flower.
To end the day, visit of the Lavender Museum (entrance and audio-guide included) where you will penetrate the secrets of essential oil of fine lavender.
(video, exposition, shop and demonstration of distillation in season).
A roadbook will be given to you to indicate where and when to meet.
