A day in the Alpilles with a visit to a vineyard

Description

We invite you to have a unique experience, in the very heart of the Alpilles.

Come to make the most of this stopping point in the discovery of the high points of the Alpilles.

We can guarantee you a great day !

You will visit 2 sites of unequaled beauty, hidden from view, in the very heart of this limestone range.

Heights punctuated by perched villages, decorated by rocks sculpted by nature, in the middle of olive groves and vineyards, are at your feet.

You will be blown away by this land of myriad colors – the blue of the sky, the white of limestone, the green of the vegetation and aromatic herbs which give off their so very appealing scents.

Program / Schedule of the day

We suggest for one day:

10:00 a.m: A unique sound and light show,

This animation takes place in an unequaled site. These were quarries where white limestone was extracted, which was used in other times to build the castle and the village of Baux de Provence.

Noon: Lunch in a very good restaurant in Saint-Remy-de-Provence.

2:00p.m: Visit of a vineyard followed by  a wine tasting.

You will set out to discover a method of wine production which is natural and respectful of the environment:   the biodynamy

The vineyard is located on a historical site where the radiant wine tradition dates back to the 4th Century B.C. J-C.

You will walk through the vines of the property, on a path designed by the owners.

Relaxation and pleasure are there for you. You can enjoy the pretty views offered by this natural landscape and initiate yourself to the various vine varieties constituting the wine.

A small explanatory guide will be given to you, providing information on the AOP Vallée des Baux and the 4 wine seasons.

You will then visit this exceptional cellar, a true underground cathedral, accompanied by a representative of the domaine.

And finally you will sample 3 wines from the domaine, produced using the Biodynamic mode.

Duration: 2h

Description of the wine domain.

This is a place replete with history. The radiant wine tradition dates from Pytheas, in the 4th century BC. who exported this wine under the name Theopolis, to the famous Cours d'Amour in the 13th century.

The site where this vineyard is located has been recognized since the dawn of time as a “High Point”, that is, a place where transformation and transcendence phenomena could occur thanks to geological particularities (nature of the ground) , telluric (ground currents) allied with the nature of the air (exceptional ascending currents immediately above the vineyard).

The domaine produces AOC Baux de Provence wines, wines from the Alpilles and olive oil from the Valley of the Baux de Provence.

Since 1989 the wine has been produced by biodynamic culture.
