The ochres of Roussillon in a horse-drawn carriage

Aboard a horse-drawn carriage, you’ll take a real trip back in time, along little Provencal country lanes. You’ll travel through the Luberon Park in a horse-drawn carriage, visiting the ochre fields of Roussillon and the surrounding countryside.

The ochres of Roussillon are the result of an original geological formation that began over 230 million years ago, giving the earth its red and gold colour.

You can also add an organic packed lunch for your midday meal.

Lavender and the hilltop villages of Provence

Discover Provence with a private chauffeur in a mini-bus:

  • 2 of the Luberon’s most beautiful villages. Roussillon and its famous ochre and Gordes with its superb castle at its heart.
  • The world of lavender with a visit to its museum and, from 15 June to 15 July, admire the Sénanque Abbey surrounded by lavender in bloom.

On the lavender road

Start your weekend of discovery with a visit to a traditional Provencal market (depending on the day of the week). You’ll continue your discovery day with a visit to the villages of Roussillon and Sault, depending on how the flowering progresses during the season. To round off the first part of your weekend in the Vaucluse, you’ll also visit the village of Gordes and its panoramic viewpoint.

Hiking: Gordes and its dry stone walls

Spend a day discovering Gordes in the Vaucluse and its dry stone architecture, on a walking tour.

Start at the La Baume oil mill, then head for the village of Les Bories, an ancient dry-stone hamlet. You’ll finish this lovely walk at the Sénanque Abbey, a superb edifice in a wildly beautiful setting.

The walk lasts around 6? hours, and you will also have a guide at your disposal.

Hiking: the Vallon de l'Aiguebrun

Take a walk with your guide in the Aiguebrun valley (Luberon). You’ll start your walk on the Buoux plateau to enjoy a vast panorama of the Aiguebrun. During your guided walk in the Luberon, you’ll be able to admire the troglodyte houses and the small village of Sivergues. This hike lasts 6 hours and is around 14 km long.

Hiking: the Lure mountain

This guided walk is generally fairly easy, with a few short steep/rocky sections. Along the way, you’ll discover the sheepfolds of the Lure mountain in the Luberon.

This is a loop walk with 5h30 of exceptional panoramic views. The theme is: the different architectural styles of the dry-stone sheepfolds on the Lure mountain.

The cabanons of Forcalquier

Head for Forcalquier for a hike on the theme of dry-stone huts, known as Cabanons Pointus (pointed huts) because of the conical shape of their roofs.

This hike offers 2h30 of fresh air in the heart of the Luberon.

You’ll discover many typically Provençal huts and admire the wide panoramic views.
