Paul Cézanne was born in Aix-en-Provence on 19 January 1839.
He is an internationally renowned painter.
He was a member of the Impressionist movement and a precursor of Cubism.
The landscapes of the region were a real inspiration for him, which he transcribed onto numerous canvases. We are all familiar with Mont Sainte-Victoire, tirelessly drawn by the painter.
As you’ll have gathered by now, Paul Cézanne is just another great excuse to wander through the narrow streets of the town, steeped in history.

As you wander down a side street, you can visit the town’s museum to see 10 of the artist’s works.

14:00: Visit to the Atelier Cézanne

You will visit Cézanne’s painter’s studio.
This place is steeped in history, presenting the life of the artist as if time had stood still.
You’ll find the objects that were important to him in the creation of his works: his working equipment, models of his last still lifes, furniture, and many other details that will link you to the works born within these walls.
