Plaisirs & Maisons de Provence offers you a trip to the heart of Provence and the Luberon along the lavender routes, ‘the blue gold of our region’.
Departing from Avignon in an air-conditioned minibus, you will follow the lavender routes through Provence, the Luberon, the Vaucluse and the Pays de Sault.
Your day on the lavender roads of Provence and the Luberon
Your first stop will be at a traditional Provençal market: local produce, the scents of Provence, colourful stalls… you’ll discover the wealth of Provençal produce and crafts.
Two choices of village depending on the flowering of lavender in Provence and the Luberon
1/ The village of Roussillon (Luberon):
Discover one of the most beautiful villages in France, with breathtaking scenery. In the heart of the Luberon, the village of Roussillon will enchant you with its ochre and lavender-blue colours.
2/ The village of Sault (Pays de Sault):
To the north of the Luberon, in the Pays de Sault, the village sits on a rocky spur. Formerly fortified, the village has over the years become world-famous for its lavender cultivation.
Free time is available for lunch or to discover one of these two exceptional villages.
You will take the Provence and Luberon lavender route back to the village of Gordes.
A perched village in the Luberon, it is one of the most beautiful villages in France because it is built entirely from the local stone known as ‘lauze’. The village of Gordes offers an exceptional panoramic view of the Luberon.
Only between 15 June and 15 July will we offer you a photo stop at the Sénanque Abbey to photograph the lavender field in flower.
You will finish with a visit to the lavender museum
The entrance ticket and audio-guide are included. During the season, the lavender museum offers various videos, exhibitions and distillation demonstrations, with a compulsory visit to the shop.
