We offer you a hike to discover the exceptional landscapes of the Alpilles. This is a loop hike, starting from Aureille to access the Tour des Opies, top of the Alpilles, offering a breathtaking panorama.
Itinerary :
You will start the walk from the village of Aureille, at the foot of the southern flank of the Alpilles, to the east of the range. You will first follow a wide track along the massif.
Then, after joining the sheepfold of the Romanière, you will go up the bottom of the valley to the ridges of the Red Bars. A rather short climb, but rather steep.
You will reach the top of Les Opies and its watchtower, after a good half hour of additional ascent, interspersed with some brief descents.
After starting the descent, you will cross a mountain slope and then join a path in the bottom of the valley, which gradually becomes a track.
Finally, you can visit the charming village of Aureille at the end of the tour.
Practical information:
A travel book will be given to you in order to indicate the places and times of appointments. This route is usually quite easy, with some short steep and/or stony passages.
