We propose a hike in the Alpilles, an unforgettable moment around the site of Les Baux. This is a linear hike, starting from the Caume parking lot in Saint-Rémy. You'll admire the rock of Les Baux de Provence: a ruined castle overlooking the tiled roofs of the village's stone houses.
2h30 of exceptional panoramic views (duration and price vary according to your level). The theme of this tour is to discover the landscapes of the Alpilles and the historical heritage of Les Baux de Provence.
Tour description :
You'll start the walk where the main road across the Alpilles chain crosses the ridge line.
You will then follow the ridge westwards for 1? hours, enjoying a 360° panorama.
As you pass beneath the watchtower on the highest point in the area, the ever-closer Rock of Les Baux begins to appear before your eyes.
Next, you'll reach a lookout point from where you'll enjoy a breathtaking view of the village and the medieval fortress perched on its rocky outcrop.
Finally, you can visit the famous little village, dominated by the ruins of its imposing castle.
Practical information :
A travel book will be given to you to indicate meeting places and times. The route is generally fairly easy, with a few short steep and/or stony sections. The return by car to the starting point can be arranged thanks to the guide's team.
