4 H 30 Min of Exceptional Panoramas.
The theme of this circuit is: the dry stone of Provence, omnipresent and superbly used.
The Hike :
You Will Begin the Hike by the Oil Mill of La Baume, which is a big troglodytic oil mill. It is one of the most beautiful troglodytic buildings in the region, nestled in the hollow of a “baume” (cave in Provençal). It follows the relief over more than 50 m in length.
You Will Then Visit the Village of Bories, a completely restored ancient hamlet, symbol of the local dry-stone heritage. You can also admire many restored buildings, symbols of the local dry-stone heritage.
You Will Also Visit the Shacks of Boujolles, an old dry-stone hamlet comprised of several buildings: shacks, stove, vat, troglodyte.
You Will Also Visit the Shack of the Hauts Rescalets, a vast building in dry stone. This exceptional shack is composed of four rooms and many improvements.
Finally, You Will Visit the Abbey of Sénanque, a Cistercian abbey of the 12th century, a superb building in a magnificent wild environment.
