This home with a pool in the Luberon is in the countryside of Maubec, in the heart of the Luberon Natural Park (Provence, Département of Vaucluse), is approximately 2 km from shops and the center of town. Maubec is a perched medieval village located between the Luberon and the alluvial plain of Calavon, near Cavaillon and between the villages of Robion and Oppède.
At the highest elevation of the village you may, during a short walk on foot, discover charming authentic houses. Vestiges of the past will also delight your eyes : stone niches, vaulted passageways, paved small streets, wells and norias, one remarkable example of which is being restored.
You can also admire an 18th century Belfrey, an 18th century church, rock tombs at the edges of the old church, two Gallo-Roman tombs from the 2nd century which give credence to the thesis of the occupation of the plain at that time already.

The village benefits from a good geographical location for visiting the Luberon (Cavaillon-Gordes axis) and Provence (Autoroute A7 Aix-en-Provence - Avignon).

There are many activities nearby: public tennis in Maubec, golf in Saumane (10km), horseback riding center of the Petit Palais in l'Isle sur la Sorgue.

You can also go to Coustellet, less than 10 minutes by car to visit its famous farmers' market. The producers of the region meet on Sunday morning and bring you the best products of Provence. There you will find fruits and vegetables, honey, flowers and, of course….. the accent of the south.

The closest tourist sites are: Gordes (6kms), Fontaine de Vaucluse (8kms), Les Baux and Saint Rémy de Provence (20km).

The entrance of the house is on ground level. There is a step between the kitchen and the living room. There is a bedroom and a bathroom on the ground floor, there is no step in the shower.

The owner uses canal water to water the garden, only in the evening so as to avoid water evaporation. He maintains the garden with natural fertilizers.
