WHAT PROPERTY CAN BE RENTED ON A SEASONAL BASIS BY PLAISIRS ET MAISONS DE PROVENCE ?

It may be your primary residence rented during your vacation.

Or a furnished rental property which can be rented on a yearly basis.

We accept all types of rentals (individual houses or not, prestige properties, gites etc...)

They must have a pool and be well maintained.

What is the minimum number of weeks for rental at Plaisirs et Maisons de Provence ?

Our agency accepts houses for a 2 week minimum rental.

How is my house presented? 

Your vacation house will be presented in an exhaustive manner to reassure the client about the quality of services offered.

We will be able to respond to all the questions asked by our tenants (dimensions of rooms, type of decor, furniture, equipment, environment, tourist activities in the area...)

If you hire us, we will come to visit your house, we will take beautiful pictures and will write a detailed description of the house.

How is the rent estimated ? 

Our 20 year experience in seasonal rentals, taking into account the expectations of the owners, the expectations of the tenants and the study of many statistics of the tourism world in France, Europe and abroad permit us to determine the best price to assure the best annual rental income. 

We establish the price chart in function of the number of persons accomodated for sleeping, of the geographic location and of the level of services offered (interior and exterior). 

We also take into account school vacations in the various European countries as well as the global economic context.

Who takes care of arrivals and departures ?

Tenants usually arrive between 4:00 and 6:00 pm. and leave between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. 

It is, however, possible to proceed differently for the convenience of the tenants and the people in charge of reception.

The person in charge of arrivals and departures will be:

o Either the owner or his/her representative 

o Or a representative of the agency

We provide a complete file to the person responsible for arrivals and departures, necessary for the smooth reimbursement by tenants of the damages they may have caused.

Who does the cleaning between tenants?

The cleaning will be done by:

o Either the owner or his/her representative 

o Or a representative of the agency

A particular attention to cleaning will be requested. We consider very important a very thorough cleaning between tenants to maintain an excellent level of cleanliness (verification of cooking utensils, windows, inside of closets, under the beds,...)

Who takes care of the maintenance of the house ?

The maintenance will be done by:

o Either the owner or his/her representative 

o Or a network of suppliers hired by the agency and paid by the owners.

We have several trades according to the type of service needed for the maintenance of the house, interior and exterior (appliances, plumbing, electricity, computers, pest control, pool, heating, septic tanks...)

How am I informed of a new reservation ?

Our agency, Plaisirs et Maisons de Provence will send you an e-mail for each reservation containing a notification of rental.

You also have a personal owner’s space on line on our site www.provence-plaisirs.com, where you can consult the state of your reservations on a daily basis as well as all the information pertaining to it.

When am I paid ?

We pay your rent at the end of the month by wire transfer after the departure of the tenants.

Partial payments may be made upon request.

You will receive by e-mail a monthly statement in pdf format.

How am I protected in case of damages? 

Tenants will leave a security deposit systematically on their day of arrival.

It will be kept in the event of damages. The damage will be managed by our agency. 

In case of an incident not being covered by the security deposit, we offer an owner’s insurance which covers you up to 1187Euros per incident.

It is an optional service, set up upon request.

What happens should tenants cancel their reservation?

Should a tenant cancel his reservation, a penalty scale shall be applied according to our sales general conditions and transfered to your account.

If you take our insurance, you will receive the entirety of the rent minus the insurance premium.

May I keep a few weeks for myself ?

We confirm that it is quite possible to reserve a few weeks for yourself. As long as a few weeks remain available for rental by Plaisirs et Maisons de Provence during the summer. 

To do so, it is necessary to block your dates on your personal space calendar, on the internet, or to contact us directly. We will be very happy to do this for you.

What about consumable costs ? 

Our experience leads us to include all consumable costs in the rental price (electricity, gas, fuel).

Except when the heat or the air conditioning if on, we read the meter and invoice according to consumption.

It is important to include linens in the rent in order to facilitate the reservation by foreigners who travel by plane.

How long is the contract valid ?

Plaisirs et Maisons de Provence supply catalogs valid from early January until the second Saturday of the following year. Clients may make their reservation very early. 

Contracts are for a year, renewed each year automatically.

Any cancellation of contract must absolutely be notified in writing prior to August 31 for a cancellation applicable from the second Saturday of January of the following year.

Caution: Without cancellation by you prior to August 31, your contract will be automatically renewed.
