The wine produced in this domain is a unique assemblage in the Valley des Baux and its region. With a limited production, the wine has remained a well-guarded secret reserved for a privileged few.
The owners are committed to producing a natural organic wine. Chemical fertilizers and pesticides are not a part of their vocabulary!
THE OWNERS WILL TAKE YOU ON A WALK THROUGH THEIR DOMAIN. They are always delighted to present their vines and explain their very personal production methods.
You will then head to the private cellar of the domain for a TASTING SESSION WITH THEIR MASTERPIECE.
Depending on the seasons, the owners will also allow you to discover:
In the winter: vine pruning.
In the fall: grape harvesting.
In the spring: 'Relevage' and 'Palissage: lifting and trellising
In the summer: trimming
DESCRIPTION OF THE VINEYARD
This domain has acquired such fame that it is difficult to believe it was only recently founded. Pioneer in the revival of the Baux vineyards, this winemaker planted the first vines in the Alpilles in 1973.
A monumental task was undertaken to gain ground on scrubland.
Rocks were dynamited, soil tilled in depth and shards of rock mixed into the earth. It was in 1976 that the first vintage was produced.
This vineyard produces a red wine made from 50% Syrah and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and a white wine made from 45% Marsanne 45% Roussanne 8% Chardonnay 2% Grenache blanc.
The wines produced at the domain have been organic wines since the founding of the winery
